We start the refining process by eliminating horses with pedigrees not suited to our strategy. This arduous task reduces the catalogue substantially allowing us to move to the next stage.
On receiving an order from a client we go through their requirements extensively thus giving us an exact idea of which type of horse to source. We then match the type to our list resulting in a shortlist.
That next stage is accessing the horse as an individual and this is where we bring in the trainer. We are looking for good conformation and athletic ability. We do this both with our eyes and technology as we always take pictures and videos for further study.
Lastly we look for horses we believe to have a strong constitution. Successful racehorse need to be able to stand the rigours of the training process in both body and mind. They need to be tough and we only choose horses we think will not only take to racing but will thrive on it.
